Over our span of two weeks in Greece, we have happily indulged in its culinary offerings.Greek food definitely carries a distinct Mediterranean quality, with many dishes consisting generous chunks of grilled meat. Seafood was an attraction here too, particularly in the port town of Nafplio (the second city we visited).
After a couple of novice mistakes as to what the difference between gyros, souvlakis and kebabs were, we can happily admit that we became quite good at ordering at local joints without much confusion (yay!) We were incredibly satisfied with the food choices we made whilst in Greece. Most of the restaurants we ventured into had excellent service, decent portions and a wide variety of Greek specials. Free Wi-Fi feels almost mandatory, as all but one restaurant we visited offered it during our entire stay.
Just when we thought we had enough, the kind owners of the restaurant brought out another plate for us on the house. 🙂 Drizzled in chocolate!
